According to Ebay.com the average price of a roll of 2009 Lincoln cents is $40.22. This puts a single 2009 penny at the value of $.80. I would expect to see MS 65 example fetch between $3.50 and $7.50 by end of 2009 based on the low mintage and the popularity of the Lincoln cent with collectors. The proof versions of the coin will also command a high premium because they are made for collectors and they will be part of the monster 5 lens proof set coming out 6/1/2009. I would suggest all collectors pick up a few 2009 proof sets from the mint ASAP!
